Nick has 15 years of experience in tanker chartering, predominantly in Singapore, before setting up a company to factor demurrage claims there. C Demurrage Ltd was set up on his return to the UK. Nick has a BSc in Shipping Operations, a PgDip in Maritime Law and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers.
Chris spent six years at Ince & Co responsible for winning the firm business. Prior to that he worked in the insurance industry. He has a degree in Business Management and East Asian Studies. Chris handles the full range of P&I claims and advises on charterparty disputes. He is also responsible for the day to day running of the C Solutions Group and the firm's expansion through the development of their successful outsourcing model and the growth of our global network of partners.
A dry shipping and insurance lawyer, formerly a Partner of Ince & Co, Ben handles all manner of charterparty and cargo claims work with a staunch marine insurance portfolio in arbitration and litigation areas. He remains Senior Partner of Horn + Co, a London law firm.
Ben has a sales and marketing background where he developed the skills necessary to expand the C Solutions business models into our established markets. He focuses on the development of our outsourcing functions, in particular the management of large projects and outsourced claims portfolios. He is also responsible for coordinating and expanding the network partnerships we continue to establish in strategic locations. Together with Chris Telford, Ben is responsible for the day to day running of the C Solutions Group.
After more than three decades with Ince & Co in Hong Kong and the UK latterly as joint head of the shipping casualty department, Chris established the C Solutions Group in 2000 and now devotes 100% of his time overseeing the insurance and legal claims division of the company with an emphasis on shipping casualty work. He relocated to Asia in April 2010 to develop the C Solutions network in the region.
Ron qualified as a Barrister-at-Law of England & Wales prior to being admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor in West Malaysia. He started his legal career in a niche shipping law firm in Kuala Lumpur before moving to a leading law firm in Singapore. Ron has experience in handling and advising on a wide range of maritime disputes and litigation matters including ship arrests, bills of lading and charterparties, casualties, marine insurance and all manner of commercial and contractual disputes. Ron also possesses a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and had previously worked for a major international airline in Singapore prior to qualifying as a lawyer. As well as being a senior claims handler, Ron is responsible for the Management of C Solutions’ Singapore office and its P&I correspondent partner, SEAsia P+I Services.
